Rauwolscine aka Alpha-yohimbine: Benefits, Side Effects & Dosage

Rauwolscine is a molecule that’s primarily used for fat loss and can induce serotonin-effects on the user.

It’s potentially more effective than yohimbine on it’s now, but is also more experimental.

What is Rauwolscine

Rauwolscine can be extracted from both the bark of  the Pausinystalia yohimbe tree and from the root Rauwolfia - which is where it gets its name.

There are two isomers two rauwolscine - yohimbine and corynanthine.

There is less strict research on rauwolscine than the other isomers.

When to Take Rauwolscine

You’ll want to take about 3mg of Rauwolscine about 30 minutes prior to your workout.

Be careful to not take Rauwolscine within 6-8 hours of your bed time as it may interfere with your sleep schedule.

Benefits of Rauwolscine

There are several benefits to rauwolscine. The primary ones include:

  • Rauwolscine can induce serotonin-like effects by saturating more 5-HT1a/b receptors than yohimbine
  • Rauwolscine can protect against blood pressure increases (but not as much as corynanthine).
  • Rauwolscine can help burn fat through being an antagonist of the alpha-1 and alpha-2 adrenalinergic receptors.

Rauwolscine Side Effects

Not enough is known about rauwolsicne at the moment to know a comprehensive list of its side effects.

Some reported side effects include:

  • Anxiety
  • Sweating
  • Headaches
  • Increased blood pressure

Generally - children and pregnant women should avoid this.

Rauwolscine vs. Yohimbine

The main difference between the two chemicals seems to different in how they attach etc the alpha-=1 and alpha-2 adrenocepter subtypes.

However, chemically speaking they are very similar and produce similar outcomes.

The best Rauwolscine Supplement

The best Rauwolscine supplement is from Turk Labs
